Maggie Rothschild is President and CEO of M. Rothschild Holdings, LLC. She began the company in 1999 after a 24 year career in sales and marketing. Her showroom,
Maggie’s Place, opened in 1975 with the exclusive west coast representation of Calvin Klein Children’s Jeans, Christian Dior Childrens, Norma Kamali Childrens and Guess Kids. Maggie’s Place shifted from fashion to entertainment in 1984 and became the largest showroom in the United States for children’s licensed products for television, motion picture, special events and fads. Properties included Batman, Nintendo, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Barbie, Pokemon, Pac man, Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin, The Lion King, The Little Mermaid, The Simpsons, Jurassic Park and 90210. Special events included Olympics 1996 and World Cup Soccer 1996 and popular fads such as Pogs and Smiley faces. Possessing an unusual combination of creative design capabilities and business acumen spanning 24 years in licensed apparel and accessories, Maggie launched RWL Millennium LLC in 1999.

RWL is now M. Rothschild Holdings, LLC and no longer manufactures products.

M. Rothschild Holdings, LLC / Rothschild Licencing is now handling intellectual property.

The first design for RWL was The MILLENNIUM BEAR, with an integrated clock that counted down to the millennium. This bear was a runaway success with featured articles on nine magazine covers and recognition as part of the Official Times Square Collection 2000.

There are few companies that can boast of their products being featured in the Smithsonian Natural History Museum, but RWL is one of them! For Election 2000 the company produced the official plush mascots for both the Republican and Democratic national parties with an integrated clock that counted down to Election Day and then reprogrammed to Inauguration Day. RWL received a request from the museum for the mascots for an electoral exhibit and for the museum’s archives. RWL was the only company approved to have the candidates’ photos from both parties on the plush mascots.

Maggie Rothschild Countdown to Motherhood Lullaby Collection
In 2000 RWL launched the Maggie Rothschild Countdown to Motherhood Lullaby Collection, which represents plush and accessories with an integrated countdown clock which counts down to the expectant delivery date. The collection is fully patented including copyright, trademark, design and utility patents. It is the only collection in the marketplace designed entirely for maternity. When programmed with today’s date and time, the integrated clock counts down the number of months, weeks and days remaining until the birth of the child. On the expectant due date the clock plays Brahms Lullaby and then after 24 hours reprograms and counts up, so that the new mother can keep track of the child’s first year milestones for example first smile, first tooth and first crawl. Babies R US recognized the originality and novelty of the collection with “BEST NEW PRODUCT” trophy at the vendor fair 2001. The collection includes plush animals, watches, key chains and desk clocks all containing the countdown clock.
The collection also includes a unique micro digital camera/video recorder, an industry first in price performance ratio.
